Institute of Rural Management (IRM), established in 1993, is the leading capacity development and learning facility in the not-for-profit sector in Pakistan IRM is a part of Rural Support Programme (RSP). IRM is committed towards building the capacity and strengthening the efficacy and effectiveness of members (women and men) of rural communities and professionals for unlocking their true human, social and economic potential. IRM works in over 100 districts and offers a diverse range of training programmes that are especially designed to cater to the needs of rural community members and professionals from national and international organizations.

IRM’s key focus areas include capacity building and training, poverty graduation, professional development, climate change and biodiversity, social protection, entrepreneurship and value chain development, Higher Education through SSK Institute and Pearson, summer internship programs, natural resource management, gender and equality, IRM-TECH, and institutional building. By providing tailored capacity building solutions and promoting knowledge sharing, IRM empowers individuals, professionals and organizations to create positive change.

IRM is an ISO 9001-2015 certified institute, conducting up to 500 different types of training with the turnout of approximately 25,000-30,000 trainees annually. During the last 30 years, IRM has trained over 1.5 million individuals (women and men) through a diverse range of programmes. By forging strong and strategic partnerships with national and international institutions, organizations, IRM continues to enhance its offerings and reach.
